I think Boots give a great Optician Service. I have varifocals and have had bad experiences with other opticians but Boots have always been right first time.

Staff were very caring and put me at ease. Optometrist was also caring and professional.

Not impressed by excessive cost and the way this is is presented. Same specification as 18 months ago but gone from £470 to £530 ie over 10% increase in base cost. Cannot believe that it is a cheaper option to have a new pair of identical frames rather than reglaze 18 month old frames, its clearly all down to marketing of the OAP discount. Have Boots never heard of recycling??? The invoice does not show how the £530 is calculated and the pamphlet (I only got to read later) does not make it clear that the £120 for platinum varifocals is in addition to the £40 for varifocals already included in the frame price. I am interested in the Platinum Plus Varifocals but unclear whether these cost £160 on top of £120 on top of £40 or would be just an extra £40 on top of the Platinum cost. The pamphlet should be redesigned.

Very impressive care by Laura, Rashida and Nicola. Nicola was much better at recommending frames than some dispnsers I have dealt with
